Company Intent

We are interested in helping and promoting game artists. Our game studio is in the process of developing their first game. We feel that this is a great opportunity to establish early relationships between us and game artists.

Asset Lore

Master of sound and air, sometimes referred to as “Banshees.” These creatures have an untrusting look to them, yet not too frightening. They are mystical, ghostly, airy creatures. They can entice others through their sound/voice/or music (coming from their voice). They do not wield anything in their hands, but are known to wear magical adorned wrist guards and necklace.

Do you have a desired image size?

Yes, this character should be a maximum of 165 pixels in height; however, the canvas/image can have a height of 250 pixels. Width of the image can vary.

Art vision for the game?

At this point, we are open to the creativity of the artist. As the game progresses and we get more art, we will be more inclined to use the style of our earlier artists. As you can see, we’ve only opened one asset to submissions. Other assets will be opened at a later date, once we determine a style we like.

What art-style would you like to see with the asset?

We’d like to see multiple art submissions to help us determine a possible art direction for the game. We have enjoyed the chibi style art though.

Describe the target audience for your game

The game will be playable on social networking sites, through a browser. The game can have multiple looks but we also want to make sure the art for the game appeals to the casual gamers.

What words would you use to best describe the look you are going after?

Simple and casual, but open.

How is your company different from other competitors?

We believe our unique, innovative games will pave the way to success. We want to think outside of the box and come up with whacky ideas that no one has thought of. The focus is on fun but in innovative new ways.

What are some game style examples that you like?

These are some links to styles we like, but again, we’re open.

What colors do you foresee being used with this asset?

Mostly a pale white color. However, the bracers she’s wearing have embedded jewels in them that would probably be colorful.

What colors do you NOT want to see?

We don’t want to exclude any colors at this point. Artists can be creative as they see fit.

Why are you looking for a 3D character?

Even if we get 3D character submissions, we’d probably use 3D stills to animate them as if they were 2D characters. We also don’t want to exclude 3D character submission because we’ve seen some pretty creative stuff game artists can do.

Who can we contact with questions?

Email submissions@watermintstudios.com

Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?

We’d really like to be able to use the art submitted for our first game. If we like your style, we’d love to work with that artist to animate the character, and potentially work on other assets for us.
