Company Intent

We are interested in helping and promoting game artists. Our game studio is in the process of developing their first game. We feel that this is a great opportunity to establish early relationships between us and game artists.

Describe the target audience for your game

The game will be playable online directly and through social networking sites. The game may have multiple looks but we also want to make sure the art for the game appeals to the casual gamers.

How is your company different from other competitors?

We believe our unique, genre-defining games set us apart. We want to come up with new and exciting ideas, things no one else is doing. Of course the primary focus is always on fun.

Asset Lore

The Iris Race (Also known as The Inanimates)
The world of Kalshia hosted a magical race of beings known as the Ormatres (or as Humans would call them, the Makers). The Makers specialized in inventing and perfecting magical spells and abilities for the betterment of their race and their allies. A horrible accident occurred when the Makers were conducting a ceremony to instill lost souls into inanimate objects. Their hope was to communicate with lost loved ones that have since passed the veil of death and resurrection. The ceremony was called ‘Iris,’ named after one of the daughters in the royal family. She donated the doll. During the final stages of the ceremony, a large and devastating explosion leveled most of the region. Ashes fell from the skies and silence engulfed the entire city. Dead Makers lay everywhere, including the royal family of the Makers. It was the most tragic, horrid event that has been written in the history books of the Ormatres. In the middle of the explosion lay a broken capsule. Within it, this doll. No one knew why the doll wasn’t destroyed in the explosion, some speculate magical barriers, others speculate conspiracy. One thing is for sure though, the doll came to life. Its first word, ‘Iris.’

Do you have a desired image size?

Yes, the canvas/image can have a max height of 250 pixels. Max Width of the image can vary.

What art-style would you like to see with the asset?

Our first character, the Sylph (Banshee), is the art style we are after for all of our subsequent characters.

What kind of doll are you envisioning Iris to look like?

This doll is going to be the leader of the "Inanimates" race. In order to capture the look we're going for, we've included some small shots of a potential doll look-alike. We purposely excluded the body because we didn't like the body of the image we are referencing. However, we expect this character's body to have a stumpy look to it.

What colors do you foresee being used with this asset?

We are open to any colors being used on this particular asset.

Who can we contact with questions?

Other

We’d really like to be able to use the art submitted for our first game. If we like your style, we’d love to work with that artist to animate the character and potentially work on other assets for us. Please indicate if you'd be willing to animate the character for additional compensation TBD.
